Stephen Gaun has worked on twenty of the short films starting as a production assistant and working his way up to production manager. He also served as producer for the Boston Comedy Shorts Collection DVD and has provided invaluable marketing, promotional, and organizational input throughout the process. His long-term goal for his involvement with Midnight Chimes Productions is to make a feature length film. Stephen also works behind the scenes and on the front line with Kevin in helping to promote and publicize other local filmmakers and their works.
Stephen took 4 film production courses at Boston Film & Video Foundation in 2002. He volunteered at the 2001 and 2002 New England Film & Video Festivals. Currently, he is learning more technical aspects of the business such as camera operation.
Stephen is politically liberal and always has been an “unenrolled” voter. He has also been a volunteer political activist in Massachusetts since 1991. A list of his wide- ranging interests and memberships is:
Tenants Rights Counselor and Member of Massachusetts Tenants Organization (1995 - 1998);
Member of CPPAX (1991 – 2005) and Boardmember (2004 – 2005);
Citizen-Lobby State Legislature regarding the Schooner Ernestina (2004 & 2006);
Current Member of American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, City Life/Vida Urbana, and T Riders Union.
Worked on election campaigns for liberal Democrats:
Felix Arroyo -- Boston City Council At-Large 2001, 2003 & 2005;
Rosario Salerno -- Boston Mayor 1993;
Maura Hennigan -- Boston Mayor 2005. |
